Palm centro driver windows 7 64

If you have a newer Palm you can use the new 64 bit drivers. You should see "Palm Handheld - Attach". Click that and the hotsync should start. Unfortunately you have to do that every time you hotsync; haven't yet found a way to attach the Palm's USB port permanently to the virtual machine - it disappears as soon as the hotsync is done, and the USB menu says "No device found. I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

I have an old Palm m and I'm running Palm Desktop version 4. Choose "Browse My Computer for Software" and direct it to the folder you extracted the Aceeca drivers to. Choose "Next" at the driver file location window, and then tell it to "Always trust software from Aceeca Ltd. I received an error message Vista64 that told me "The drivers were installed but the device couldn't be opened.

I tried a HotSync and it worked!!! Here's how to fix that:. If Palm Desktop 6. The ther modules should appear. Close Palm Desktop, if open. This is a very important thing to always do when using 6. You will now see the actual file for the shortcut. Right-click on the "Palm Desktop" shortcut file, then Properties. Now pick the Compatibility Tab at the top. Try opening Palm Desktop, all the parts should appear. You may see a box open when you close the program asking "Did the program run correctly?

Palm HotSync Setup. Forum member bobboffin has added this post: "After attempting your first HotSync and failing as expected you may be unable to find any trace of the device in Device Manager, making the next step quite difficult. This happened to me, and after some investigation I discovered the following tip that allows Device Manager to show hidden and non-present devices.

Device Manager should open. In the View menu select Show Hidden Devices. You may now see under the Other heading the failed device with a yellow triangle against it.

You can now proceed to install the drivers per the instructions. Note that the driver supports most Palm OS versions. Go to Solution. Thanks again to WyreNut for all the support as i know this Forum is a benefit for those with limited computer knowledge and your detailed suggestions worked perfectly And Thank You!

You are the first person to report success with the Aceeca drivers and Windows 8!! View solution in original post. I have gotten the aceeca drivers installed successfully, but my palm zire 71 will still not hotsync. It shows up in the Device manager as a palm device but when i select Hotsync it just doesn't run. I am still at a loss as to what my options might be with the current models of palm.

Any and all suggestions welcome.. Thank you so much. I was thoroughly disappointed to see that the support telephone for paid support had been discontinued. I thought I would need to replace my ancient but serviceable Z Palm T X being used. Thank You Very much!!!

I had forgotten windows 7 and the palm Zire 31 didn't exactly see eye to eye. Glad I found this solution! It works flawlessly!

Like so many others, I love my Palm Pilot and have used one since With Windows OS constantly updating, I keep worrying that I will eventually have to give it up, but alas, your website helped me continue to use it. I love that I don't have all of my private info and passwords in my phone or in the cloud. This week I loaded windows 10 64 bit and tried to install my palm pilot with no success. I did all that you said in this post, but then I couldn't get my palm information to show in the Palm Desktop.

After some research, I found the link to this website to provide a "patch" for legacy Palm Pilots Tungsten C. Then all of the data showed up in my Desktop again. When most of the other Palm OS vendors dropped out of the market, Palm rewrote their PIM applications and came out with a new internal architecture that was not fully compatible with Palm OS applications written for the earlier generation devices.

We refer to the older devices as Legacy devices. Here is a list of specific devices which fall into each category: Legacy Devices: any device running OS4 or earlier, any non-Palm brand handheld Sony, Garmin, etc. This procedure has worked perfectly with my Palm Zire 22 which is legacy model from the past. I thought I would never get the data transferred but it has worked perfectly with Windows Thanks so much
